Charles Powell, founder of The Mercy Movement, appeared this week on the American Family Radio Network. Powell was interviewed for a nationwide radio broadcast of the show “Today’s Issues," broadcast on several hundred radio outlets across the US and online.

Powell founded the Mercy Movement in 2009 while writing his book “Not In My Town” chronicling his nationwide undercover investigation of human trafficking throughout the United States. The goal of the Mercy Movement is to provide 1) Education and Awareness, 2) Research and Investigation and 3) Direct action on the part of those in slavery for their rescue and restoration.

Right now Powell and a team of trained and qualified volunteers are preparing to begin a number of investigations and rescues a several key states where trafficking is exploding. Charles also recently announced that planning is underway to open up to 24 spaces for adult rescue victims by early 2013. He also stated that the Mercy Movement has secured up to 5 slots for immediate use for child victims.

On July 16-19 the Mercy Movement and CRI will be training individuals on human trafficking and rescue in Conneaut Lake, PA. check it out at www.strategicmissionandresponse.com
