WELCOME FIRST sym•po•si•um. n., 1. a meeting or conference for the discussion of some subject, esp. a meeting at which several speakers talk on or discuss a topic before an audience. 2. a collection of opinions expressed or articles contributed by several persons on a given subject or topic. 3. an account of a discussion meeting or of the conversation at it. This Global Online Symposium is the first one ever sponsored by IPHC Ministries. The intent is to provide training videos and reference materials on the subject of our core values of Mission21, our visionary growth strategy for this first decade of the new millennium. MULTIPLY: BELIEVERS & CHURCHES is the training focus for this quadrennial period of the decade, from 2006-2009. These special training sessions will help clarify the core values of the Mission21 vision, which have been refined over the past several years. Those core values include: Pray for the Harvest • Give Geneously • Reach3 • Disciple Believers • Plant3 • Develop Leaders This symposium consists of seven distinct presentations on each of the six core values listed above, beginning with an overview presentation on Multiplying Believers & Churches. The presentation provides the scriptural foundations of each core value, including testimonials by various church leaders. On each of the presentation pages that follow, you will find links to English and Spanish language videos and resources, including:
These resources can be used in a variety of way to help equip local church leaders and members. As a pastor or trainer in your local church, you can use these resources to equip yourself with the content of each presentation, enabling you to better teach the sessions to your membership. OR Get a small group of church leaders together in a room at the church or in a home with internet access. Download and print the Training Guide for each person present. Watch the video presentation together and discuss the scriptural implications for your local church and its mission. OR Recruit several key leaders in your church to agree to watch these video presentations. You may schedule one each week or one each month over the next several months. Have each of the key leaders logon and watch each presentation at their convenience, then meet together at your usual planning meeting to discuss the value and its implications for your church mission. However you decide to use these resources, the key is to USE them. [CONTINUE] |
