The following is an update of relief support activities for this reporting period:
 
1. Mid South Conference- Rev Gordon Atwell, MidSouth DRUSA reports that a Pastors Resource Council has been established for churches across the state. Their goal is to coordinate relief operations through the churches. The initial target area is the St Tammany Parish- then they’ll move onto larger populated areas. Atwell has a need for chain saw teams at this time, as well as air mattresses, cots and bedding. They are planning to establish a joint distribution point between Faith Family Church and Miracle Place Church.

2. Alpha Conference- the conference has established five collection points and two staging areas to assist with procurement and distribution of supplies. The conference is also in support of the SC Mobile Feeding Kitchen (MFK) which is now in operation in their area at Moss Point, Al., The DRUSA-Rev Mike Gray is coordinating with the New Horizons Ministry Church to see what other relief activities might be based out of that area.

3. Georgia Conference- A supply truck will leave tomorrow from North Georgia to deliver supplies to the Moss Point, Al. distribution point.

2. Baby diapers
3. Baby formula
4. Canned food
5. Can openers
6. Peanut butter
7. Spam
8. Crackers/cookies
9. Personal hygiene item

5. South Carolina Mobile Feeding Kitchen- The MFK went into operation at lunch today serving 800 walk throughs and then giving out over 1,200 MREs- (meals ready to eat). The MFK has been given reason to plan for American Red Cross ERVs to be arriving to carry food to other locations, and that displaced persons will be moved into a school nearby that will require feeding also.

6. North Carolina Conference- A MFK support team will deploy Sunday to Moss Point,Al to support the MFK.
