The following is an Update on DRUSA activities as of 10:00 p.m. September 30, 2004: A. Current Situation‑ 1. Tropical Storm Lisa‑ at 5 p.m. AST...the center of Lisa was located about 1945 miles West of the Azores...moving North‑Northwest near 12 mph...maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph.. Note: Tropical Storm Lisa will no be reported again unless it turns West.... 2. Florida Update‑ a. Shelters‑ 35 general with 1,862 evacuees and 9 special shelters with 335 evacuees‑‑down. b. Fatalities/Injuries‑ 12 confirmed‑ Up. c. Power Outages‑ 435,8000‑ Down. d. Flooding‑ many counties continue to report flooding. B. IPHC Items‑ 1. The South Carolina Mobile Feeding Kitchen (MFK) remains on station in Pensacola, Fl. For Wednesday the MFK fed 5,120 meals with 3,900 being disbursed by American Red Cross ERVs...and 1,220 being walk‑ins. On Thursday 6,020 meals were fed with 5,000 being sent out on ERVs and 1,020 going to walk‑ins. 2. Alpha Conference‑ continues to rotate people in support of the MFK. Today personnel from My Father's Vineyard PHC joined the MFK. 3. Sonshine Conference‑ Christian Heritage PHC remains on stand by . 4. Georgia Conference ‑ a MFK stand by team is tentative planning to move on Sunday. 5. South Carolina Conference‑ The MFK #2 team will deploy on Monday and personnel from LifeSprings are expected on Sunday 6.
