The following is an Update on DRUSA activities as of 4:45 p.m. EDT, September 27, 2004:

A.  Current Situation‑

1. Tropical Depression Jeanne..at 2:00 p.m. EDT the center of Jeanne was located about 35 miles South of Macon, Ga..movement is toward the North‑Northeast near 14 mph..and a turn to the Northeast is expected during the next 24 hours. ..maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph..additional rainfall totals of 4 to 8 inches..with isolated higher amounts are possible ....isolated tornadoes are possible from extreme Eastern Georgia Northeastward through Southern North Carolina today.

2.Tropical Depression Lisa‑ at 11:00 a.m. AST the storm was located about 1040 miles East‑Northeast of the Lesser Antilles...movement is toward the North‑Northwest near 7 mph...maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph..

3. Report from the Florida Emergency Response Team‑

a. Sheltering‑ 148 general shelters with 18,692 evacuees and 69 special shelters with 2,468 evacuees.

b. Fatalities and Injuries‑ 2 confirmed deaths related to Hurricane Jeanne.

c. Power Outages‑ 2,405,523 customers without Power.

d. Flooding reported in many counties throughout the State.

B. IPHC Items‑

1. The South Carolina Mobile Feeding Kitchen (MFK) remains on station in Pensacola, Fl (Alpha Conference).. Rev Franklin Morris assumes Administrator of the MFK tonight from Kenny Ward (LifeSprings Church‑SC). Seven American Red Cross  ERVs are being used today to distribute food..the MFK has been informed that tomorrow their facility will be used by the American Red Cross for a tour by 20  Cooperate Executives ‑ they will tour the MFK, eat lunch there‑ and then present the American Red Cross with a check.Note; DRUSA has received a number of reports about the exceptional service provided by the MFK.

2. Alpha Conference‑ at this time the following churches are providing MFK support: Celebration Center,Alpha Conference Staff, Day Star Christian Center, White House Fork, Central Chapel,New Horizon, and  New Vision.

3.Georgia Conference‑ initial reports of the first impact of the storm indicates no causalities of damage to church properties. Athens PHC has representation on duty with the MFK.

4. Sonshine Conference‑ Christian Heritage is on stand by to provide a MFK support team toward the end of the week.
