A. Current Situation‑

1.Hurricane Jeanne‑Jeanne moving East‑Southeastward and remains no immediate threat to any land areas. At 11:00 a.m. EDT the center was about 485 miles East of Great Abaco Island..movement is near 7 mph and maximum sustained winds are 90 mph.

2. Hurricane Karl‑no threat to land at this time...at 11:00 a.m. AST the center was located about 1005 miles East‑Northeast of the Northern Leeward Islands..moving toward the North‑Northwest near 14 mph...maximum sustained winds are near 85 mph.

3. Tropical Storm Lisa‑ strengthening over the open tropical Atlantic ocean..at 11:00 a.m. AST the center was about 1055 miles West of the Cape Verde Islands..movement is near 10 mph..maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph...

B. IPHC Items‑

1. The Mobile Feeding Kitchen is in full operation in Pensacola, Fl‑ besides walk‑ ins they are using 4 American Red Cross ERVs to transport food out. A count on meals served for today will be in the report tomorrow.

2. NOTE: Personnel on Disaster Relief teams supporting the MFK should know that personnel (male and female) are being housed  in the church class rooms‑ it was a little cool last

night‑see the Survival List for what to bring.

3. Sonshine Conference‑Conference DRUSA working on another team to be ready for next week for the MFK.

4.Alpha Conference‑ update‑initial report that Pineview PHC had 3 members loose their homes.

5. Upper South Carolina Conference‑ Two MFK support teams‑one from Iva PHC and the other a possible mix of churches‑ pending for next week.

6. Cornerstone Conference‑ potential team being formed for next week for  the MFK or other needed support... from Family Worship Center‑pending

North Carolina Conference‑Load of furniture being co‑ordinated to move to Canton NC (Cornerstone Conf) in two weeks .

C. Lessons Learned‑

1. I asked Rev Danny Nelson‑the NC DRUSA Coordinator during Hurricane Floyd to write a paragraph on what he'd do different now....see attached‑recommend it be filed in your DRUSA files.

2. Recommend Conference DRUSAs‑ obtain the Men's Ministries and Women's Ministries mailing list and re‑send these Update's to those leadership members of the conference. To be used to mobilize teams‑supplies‑ and for information on DRUSA.
