A vital part of being a disciple of Christ is prayer and fasting. Begin by calling the intercessors in your church to prayer for this discipleship emphasis. Join the “First Friday Fast” and the “Mission 21 Prayer Watches.” Intercessors: Step Two: Focus the Church. Easter to Pentecost: Eight-Sunday emphasis on Holy Spirit and discipleship. April 11, 2004 - May 30, 2004
Track Two: Sermon Series. Pastors are encouraged to preach about the Holy Spirit during these seven weeks, with an emphasis on leading people to the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Step Three: Use the Jesus Model. Choose three to five individuals to join you for a 12-week discipleship course on the topic: Disciple 3 Study Guides. June - August, 2004 Individuals I will invite to join me: Date to begin: Step Four: A Way of Life. Continue with ongoing Discipleship Groups, four courses over the next two years.
